The Williams team enjoyed another fantastic day on the fairways during their annual Golf Day at the fabulous Centurian Golf Cub. Despite the wind proving a worthy opponent, spirits were high!
This year’s competition saw two teams of four battling it out in a best two scores per hole format.
Team 1 – Jason (CEO). Ashton (Chemist Apprenticeship), Frank (Senior Chemist), Lloyd (Sales)
Team 2 – Callum (Trainee Operations Manager), Taylor (Trainee Operations Manager), John (Operations Manager), Fraser (Senior Chemist)
With plenty of friendly rivalry, the game stayed neck-and-neck right until the final putt.
After a tightly contested round, it was Callum, John, Taylor and Fraser who edged their way to victory. There were no grand prizes – just the sweet satisfaction of bragging rights.
Proceedings were halted momentarily when Williams CEO, Jason, believed he’s lost his golf wedge. Cue a mini search party… only to discover the club had been in his bag all along.
This marks the second year of the Williams Golf Day, and although not every team member could make it this time, the event is quickly becoming a cherished tradition.
“Williams is a family business, and we are thriving thanks to the togetherness of the team as a whole,” said CEO, Jason Whitmore. “We’re building more events like the Golf Day into our annual calendar to bring everyone together outside the workplace and create stronger bonds.”
While the light-hearted competition was great fun, what stood out most was the unity it fostered – highlighting just how much events like this reinforce the values that drive the Williams team forward.
