I have been extremely lucky to be given the opportunity to work for a family run business with high ambitions to take Williams Environmental to become one of the biggest in the south of England. I was tasked in 2022 to help secure a new home and relocate from our previous home 3 Charles St, Silverton. The company had been trading from Silvertown for 24 years. I knew it was going to be a huge task to find premises and get all the Permitted licences from the EA in our timeframe, but with the strong team inside Williams and all outsourced professional help. We manged to move in January 2024 to our new home here in Thurrock.
My interest outside of work is my family, I like to try and go to different places with them to create memories such as, going to the gym together, dinner or going on holiday.
As Director, I bring over 20 years of leadership and management experience across various fields and sectors. My expertise stems from extensive leadership and pedagogical training, both domestically and internationally, coupled with owning and operating my own business while advancing towards a Principal role.
Upon my return to the UK, I assumed responsibilities within our family business, where I applied my skills and creativity to the Haulage and Waste Industry. I have demonstrated myself as a creative, ambitious leader and now apply these strategies to our family business; fostering growth opportunities, facilitating staff development and exploring alternative avenues for company expansion.
I am an experienced Manager having worked in the Waste Industry since 1980. My career journey started in the accounts department of one of the large Waste Companies, moving onto various roles within the sales and operations over the years.
I started my role at Williams Environmental in 2013 where I was appointed as General Manager. My job involves over-seeing the business day to day, ensuring all departments pull together providing customer satisfaction and that we maintain our standards, continually striving for improvement, and that the shareholders are kept happy.
As an experienced Chartered Waste Manager and COTC holder for our new Waste Transfer Station in Gray’s, Essex, I ensure the safe collection and disposal of your wastes in an Environmentally friendly and cost-effective way.
As a Financial Director for 26 years in the waste industry, bringing over a decade of experience and a proven track record of success to my role. Not only managing client accounts but also overseeing administrative processes to ensure smooth operations and seamless communication.

Outside of work, I coach my oldest sons football team – and after 3 years I have learned that managing 9-year-olds is infinitely harder than managing adults!

After working with our MD for over 16 years in various businesses I have now moved into the Hazardous waste industry with Williams in April 2023. As I’m 80% office based my role is to help all our existing Williams clients with quotes, collection, and issues. As I’m new to this industry, I’m leaning everyday which is making the role enjoyable. The more people I speak to the more business relationships we pick up. I moved to Williams at the right time as the new site is very professional and it’s a pleasure to have our customers come in. Outside of work I enjoy walking our dogs, golf, golf and more golf ….
I am reasonably new to Williams Environmental for just 3 months now. I work for the Technical Sales Team and I am really enjoying learning something new everyday as the role gets busier & busier.
I help the team in getting the quotes input onto our systems and also liaise with our clients when sending our quotes out to them – ensuring we are supplying them with the best quote possible. I work also on the clientele side of the business – ensuring the customers get the up most professional experience, which is so important to us as a company. We like to really work hard as a team here and all support each other.
Being a busy mum of two on the outside of work – I enjoy going to the gym for some downtime keeping fit and healthy is a plus in life for me!
As a Yard Manager in the waste management industry, I am a professional with 30 years’ experience, I have played a pivotal role in optimising the efficiency and effectiveness of waste handling operations. As I progressed in my career, I took on leadership roles, overseeing teams of yard staff and coordinating logistics to ensure smooth operations.
My role on site is senior site chemist, and generally check loads in, repack chemicals, bulk up compatible liquids, provide support to the sales and operations team and go off site to safely package and list materials for disposal. I’ve been in the hazardous waste industry for 37 years and have worked in a variety of roles within the industry. I am a highly experienced chemist and am still enjoying the industry immensely.
A huge sports fan, I support Ayr United, and love 6 nations rugby too. My other passions are Marvel comics Star Wars, Depeche Mode, and most 80’s and rock music. I love going to live events be they a local cover band in the Castle Mayne pub or Big Country at the O2!
As the Site Chemist at Williams since 2023, I am entrusted with the meticulous management of all chemical waste processes, a role that underscores my proficiency in lab chemistry. Partnering closely with Mike, our esteemed Technical Director, I continuously enhance my expertise in waste sorting and sustainable disposal practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Beyond my professional commitments, I find fulfilment in the leisurely pursuits of golfing and cooking. In these activities, I discern the fascinating interplay of chemical reactions, further enriching my appreciation for the intricacies of both science and recreation.
I am a determined individual and currently in the process of becoming a Trainee Chemist, I am excited to embark on the next chapter under the guidance of experienced mentors in the field. I look forward to learning new techniques and contributing to important projects in the field.

As a Chemistry Apprenticeship in the waste management industry, I have a keen interest in the chemical aspects of waste disposal. Through hands on learning and mentorship I am determined to understand the chemical properties of waste materials and their impact on the environment.
I joined Williams Environmental in 2020 as an Operations Support Administrator. one of my main duties is to prepare all paperwork for our drivers on a day-to-day basis, as well produce all paperwork for our customers who wish to deliver into our site at Thurrock.
I am an experienced waste manager having worked in the waste industry for just over 35 years. This career journey has taken me through various roles within the industry, including dealing with hazardous, recycling and commercial wastes. I now pool together this experience and concentrate on providing compliance for Williams Environmental.
I have been working for Williams Environmental since 2000 where I started as an administrator. I worked my way up to Operations Manager which I enjoyed doing until 2015 when I became a mum. I returned to work part time as an administrator which I continue to do now. I raise all the paperwork onto our database so that collections can go ahead (consignment/transfer notes), this includes assigning EWC Codes, Hazard Codes and UN Nos. I also complete packing lists for non-lab smalls jobs.
After an early career in banking, I joined Williams in 2007 in our growing sales department. After transferring to more customer service and admin roles I am now responsible for non-conforming and outgoing loads. Outside of work I like reading and a little bit of retail therapy. I also enjoy spending time with my three grandchildren.
As an Administrator Assistant, I bring a meticulous attention to detail and I am proficient in organisational skills and handling a wide range on administrative tasks, including document management, data entry and correspondence.
As a Trainee Manager/ Trainee COTC in the waste industry, I am enthusiastic about gaining hands on experience in coordinating waste management activities, assisting with team leadership and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. With a proactive attitude and a willingness to take on new challenges, I am excited to contribute to the success of our waste management initiatives and develop into a skilled leader in the field. I am currently completing my COTC course which has given me a deeper insight into the hazardous waste industry.
