Williams Environmental helps raise more than £40,000 for Heart of Kent Hospice
On Wednesday 8 July, the Williams Environmental team was proud to take part in the Heart of Kent Hospice Cup, joining businesses from across Kent for a fantastic day of golf, fundraising and community spirit.
Despite some challenging weather, the event proved to be another outstanding success, bringing together local organisations with one shared goal – raising vital funds to support the incredible work of Heart of Kent Hospice.
Following the event, the hospice team thanked everyone involved, praising the “camaraderie, high spirits and resilience to the weather”, as well as the generosity shown throughout the day. They also recognised the contribution made by every business, sponsor and participant in helping make the event such a remarkable success.
Early fundraising figures show that more than £40,000 was raised – almost double the total achieved last year – exceeding all expectations and making this the most successful Hospice Cup to date.
Supporting an Incredible Cause
Heart of Kent Hospice provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care for adults living with terminal illnesses across Maidstone, Aylesford, Tonbridge and Malling, and the surrounding areas. Alongside expert medical care, the hospice offers emotional support, counselling, bereavement services and practical support for patients and their families, helping them make the most of every moment together.
As an independent charity, Heart of Kent Hospice relies on the generosity of individuals, businesses and fundraising events to continue delivering its services free of charge. Every sponsorship, donation and fundraising initiative helps ensure local people can access the compassionate care they need when they need it most.
The Hospice Cup is a wonderful example of what can be achieved when the local business community comes together for a common cause, and Williams Environmental was honoured to be part of this year’s event.
