Williams Environmental is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for an experienced SHEQ Manager to join our growing team.
As one of the UK’s leading providers of hazardous waste management and environmental services, we work with industrial, commercial and public sector organisations across the country, delivering safe, compliant and sustainable waste collection, treatment, recycling and disposal solutions. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a proactive and experienced professional to lead and develop our Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) function.
This is a senior role reporting directly to the Operations Director and offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact across the organisation. The successful candidate will take responsibility for developing and maintaining our SHEQ management systems, ensuring compliance with UK legislation, supporting operational teams and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
The role will involve overseeing our ISO management systems, conducting site audits and inspections, managing risk assessments and investigations, delivering training programmes and working closely with regulators, certification bodies and clients. It is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining strategic leadership with practical, hands-on support across a busy operational environment.
We are looking for an experienced SHEQ professional with a strong understanding of health and safety, environmental and quality management, ideally gained within waste management, hazardous waste, environmental services, logistics, manufacturing or another regulated industry. Strong communication skills, a proactive approach and a passion for creating safer, more efficient workplaces are essential.
